The Artist

Valeria is an artist, surfer, and entrepreneur who is deeply passionate about advocating for women, artists, and environmental causes. Her creativity takes many forms—whether through painting, jewelry, community-building, or hosting events like beach clean-ups and women’s retreats.

Born and raised in Italy, Valeria’s adventurous spirit led her to travel across Europe, exploring art in museums, galleries, and the events scene. She backpacked solo across Asia for six months to reconnect with her spirituality before eventually settling in the US. In California, she found her true home, surfing the stunning beaches in her self-built van. “It’s my daily meditation, my motivation, and a way to connect with others and Mother Nature.”

Over the past six years, Valeria has built a thriving, supportive community in San Clemente, a place where The Seea, a local women’s surf brand, has described her influence as “inspiring.”

“Art, to me, is pure magic,” she says. “It’s an expression of God flowing through us—a way to connect with yourself, others, and the world as one. It’s alchemy, the flow of giving and receiving, and inspiring others to unlock their full potential. Art is the bridge that allows emotions, too often stigmatized by society, to rise to the surface and be transmuted into creative work. It’s a safe, enlightening path for self-love, inner balance, and embracing the uniqueness of all beings. My approach to art isn’t about perfecting something for the masses, but rather creating a catalyst for change and a light for those lost in the dark to find their way back to their heart space. During my darkest times, art was my way back to myself, helping me overcome addiction and step into my true purpose. I want to share this healing power through my work, speaking of faith, inner strength, growth, peace, freedom, love, equity, human rights, and supporting women and the environment.”

Valeria’s journey as a creator began early. “I started making jewelry when I was about seven,” she recalls. “At eight, I was designing business cards and selling my pieces at a mountain campsite in Italy, where I spent summers with my grandma. It was my favorite game.”

Her love for painting began even earlier, though she can't pinpoint a specific age. “It feels like I was born with a love for colors and paper. It’s always been my therapy and my closest companion.”

As she traveled, Valeria collected rocks and shells from around the world to incorporate into her jewelry, sharing the peace and wonder that her connection to the ocean and land brings through these small, meaningful creations.

For much of her life, Valeria avoided being online, preferring to work through word-of-mouth commissions. She valued simplicity, believing it allowed her to create more with less. Now, she’s embraced sharing her work online, seeing it as an opportunity to connect with more people and share the love that drives her creativity.

“I love working with different mediums—from epoxy resin ocean art to building my own conversion van. I enjoy painting in different styles, constantly evolving and following my intuition. While I explore new forms of creativity, the ocean and nature are always my muse. They move through me and inspire everything I do.”

Valeria’s journey hasn’t been easy, but it’s been one worth living. She left her hometown because she felt trapped in a toxic environment where her creativity couldn’t grow. She’s faced and overcome dark times, addictions, health challenges, injuries, and the pain of navigating life alone. But she didn’t have a choice—she had to create a life where she could thrive and do what she loved.

Her journey has taught her self-love, how to validate herself, shift her perspective, and connect with others. It has taught her how to build herself up through life’s highs and lows, how to focus on her passions, and how to build businesses and find her tribe.

“My purpose is to help others along their own journey by sharing my art and passions. I want to inspire others to create, to grow, and to connect with their true selves.”
